High tea in aid of Krugersdorp’s elderly

Elderly residents hopefully can look forward to some upgrades at Môreglans Old Age Home.

In the near future Môreglans Old Age Home residents hopefully will see some upgrades to the place they choose to spend their last days.

The much-needed upgrades will be financed by a series of fundraisers under the management of the NPO (non-profit organisation) Elderly Foundation Funds and first in line is a high tea that will be held at the home next month.

According to Elderly Foundation Funds Director Susan Engelbrecht, big local corporate names will be in attendance and Hirsch’s Home Appliance Superstore has come on board to sponsor some big prizes to be won on the day.

Hirsch’s Gauteng Regional Manager, Norman Brassell will be the guest speaker at the event.

“The tea on 30 May at 10.30am not only will be a fun event but an opportunity for corporate figures to see the old age home for themselves,” says Susan.

According to Susan the areas prioritised for upgrading at the home include purchasing and installing washing lines, giving the garden a facelift and painting the buildings.

“The entire home needs to be painted but in addition we hope to paint each passage in the frail care area in a different colour,” she says.

For more information or to make donations toward the upgrades at the home contact Susan on 011 660 2209 or 074 116 2614.
