Parents eat their way across the globe
Cultural dishes from across the globe were on offer at Monument Primary's World Food Court.
Eight countries from around the world all came together for one night at Monument Primary’s World Food Court event.
Parents were spoiled for choice as exquisite dishes true to Lebanon, Italy, France, Africa, Greece, India, Portugal and England were on offer at the school’s fundraising event on Friday (20 June).
According to Candice Halstead, a member of the school’s Parent Association and organiser, the idea of putting up stalls and decorating them according to different countries while selling traditional foods turned out to be a smashing success.
“More than 500 families attended the event,” she says.
Halstead explains that the event was one of the Parent Association’s quarterly fundraising occasions run by parents only to contribute to the school’s improvement budget.
She thanks all local businesses and parents for their contributions and support to make the event successful.
