Mama Emily now on the move
Tommy Martin has sponsored Mama Afrika Bakes with a brand-new Chevrolet utility vehicle that will ensure deliveries are managed more easily.
Clover and Garden World embarked on a skills development project to help empower a local woman who has been doing exceptional work in her community.
Clover Mama Afrika is based on a simple concept – they empower community caregivers with viable skills, which they in turn pass on to others to earn a sustainable income for the community.
Mama Emily Duda is one of the 40 formidable Clover Mama Afrikas and she operates from Garden World Centre.
She manages Clover Mama Afrika Bakes and ensures that fresh and quality baked products always are available.
The Building and Nurturing Our Nation initiative was launched at Garden World in May 2011 with Mama Emily and her team who received extensive training from Clover to become proficient in bread baking and general baking.

The bulk deliveries always have been a challenge and now that they have their very own branded delivery vehicle, the bakery will be able to promote themselves on the roads and hopefully secure new standing orders on the routes they cover.

The company not only sponsored the delivery vehicle, their Roodepoort Service Department also will carry out all the services to show their commitment to social development.
