Monnas beauties come home with crowns

Two Monument High pupils did exceptionally well at the Miss SA Schools competition.

44 schools in South Africa competed nationally for the prestigious Miss SA Schools title.

Each contestant had to do her own community project where she had to make a difference in her community and represent her school.

They had to design a replica of their school flag, do interviews and walk on stage with two outfits – their school uniform and evening wear.

Leyla van Greuning from Monument High represented Monnas in the Grade 8 to 9 category and came home with the Miss Popular Grade 8 to 9 title. She also was a part of the Top 3 audience choice and was chosen first princess Miss SA Schools Grade 8 to 9.

Tharina Botes.

Tharina Botes represented Monnas in the Grade 10 to 11 category and came home with the Miss Popular Grade 10 to 11 title, she also was part of the Top 3 audience choice. Furthermore she won the Best Ambassador Award Grade 10 to 11 and was the Overall Senior Winner Miss SA Schools.
