VIDEO: What a spectacle!
Guests were treated to an array of spectacular offerings throughout the evening.
It was nothing short of spectacular. Silverstar’s relaunch exceeded all expectations and it definitely can be called the West Rand’s premier entertainment destination.
Silverstar, a Tsogo Sun property, revealed its magnificent new offering at a big bash on Thursday 13 November, marking the spectacular complex’s official opening to the public.
Numerous celebrities together with local and national media houses rubbed shoulders with industry giants such as Tsogo Sun executives, Mogale City Local Municipality officials including Mayor Koketso Calvin Seerane, and SA superstars The Parlotones.

Needless to say, the exclusive performance by The Parlotones during the launch was the perfect way to open the R560 million entertainment complex officially.
VIP guests were treated like royalty with French champagne, delicious canapes, freshly made sushi and sweet treats that would make anyone with a sweet tooth beg for more.

Apart from the lavish soiree for VIPs in the massive globe arena, the public also could indulge. Children were thrilled by stilt walkers, magicians and street performers while patrons also enjoyed The Parlotones’ free mini concert followed by the popular 3 Tons of Fun on Silverstar’s square.
The launch, compered by Simba Mhere of Top Billing also featured a music performance by Muses Duo and an impressive laser show. Guests were treated to an array of spectacular offerings throughout the evening including a Moët & Chandon bar, an amazing aerial silk rope act and contortionist shows.
“We’re very proud of our beautiful complex and are inviting avid fans and new guests to come and enjoy our new entertainment and dining experiences. We’re sure to deliver on our promise of offering entertainment for everyone,” says Shane Collinson, Director of Operations and Complex General Manager at Silverstar.

For those who could not join in on the big bash; not to worry, various entertainment TV shows captured every impressive minute of the event.
