Takalani fun at school for disabled
A Kagiso principal is thankful for the goodwill shown to her school.
Hundreds of children from the Itireleng School got more than they bargained for during a surprise visit from Sanlam and some of their friends.
As part of Sanlam’s giving back to the community, Sello Tshukudu and his team visited this school for the mentally and physically handicapped in Kagiso to hand over five computers.
“This school is very close to my heart and our very own community is not giving this school the attention it deserves,” says Sello Tshukudu, a Sanlam financial advisor.
The children were entertained by two of the Takalani Sesame characters Moshe and Zikwe who enchanted the children with sing-along songs.
Courtesy of the Takalani Sesame group the children each received a money tin, educational books and posters.
The group from Sanlam also visited Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital to hand over teddy bears to physically disabled children.
“Thank you to Sanlam and the Takalani Sesame group for remembering our school for severely mentally and physically disabled children and spending the morning spoiling us. Also a special thank you for donating five computers for us to use in the office,” said a grateful Olga Molefe, principal of the school.
