Most eligible worthy title winners

The star-studded event was a jam-packed evening of great entertainment and excellent cuisine.

Being named Bachelor and Bachelorette of the Year does not mean that you are the hunkiest man and sexiest woman in South Africa.

It means as a single person you have campaigned your way into earning the title of being a worthy Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) ambassador.

The competition, hosted by CopperStone Promotions, is open to any person older than 20 and hopefuls can enter regardless of gender or sexual preferences. The competition is not a beauty pageant and winners are judged mainly on the charity work they do within their community.

Early in November two worthy winners were announced during a spectacular gala evening at Silverstar. Rozanne Meyer and Guy Saben walked away with the titles as well as fantastic prizes.

The star-studded event was a jam-packed evening of great entertainment and excellent cuisine with hosts Hannes van Wyk of kykNET’s Bravo, actress Marisa Drummond and JacarandaFM’s Rozanne McKenzie.

The man behind CopperStone and the founder of the competition, Jacques Momberg, was applauded for his tremendous efforts to create awareness around Cansa and helping to fight cancer.

Caxton West Rand’s very own Rialien Furstenberg, editor of the Get It Joburg West magazine, had the opportunity to be part of the judging panel for the third time.

Next year’s competition is going to be bigger and better than before, with not just one charity benefiting, but five.
