A suspect was taken into custody after a police chase, which also caused two police vehicles to crash into each other.
On arrival at the tavern in Sivewright Street, a suspect immediately fled as he saw the Krugersdorp Police, Mogale City Traffic Department officials and the Sector 4 Community Policing Forum members getting ready to start their monthly raid.
The police swiftly chased after the suspect, who was on foot, down Sivewright Street.
Three blocks from the tavern one of the police vehicles rear-ended the other one as they attempted to corner the suspect.
A CPF member jumped out of his vehicle and apprehended the suspect with the help of the other police officers.
The suspect was arrested for possession of drugs and is believed to be a runner as there were more than one closed bag of drugs in his possession.
