Lodge celebrates birthday by donating funds
Ambassadors of Guvon Hotel Group had the opportunity to immortalise their hand prints in cement.
The prestigious Kloofzicht Lodge and Spa decided to reminisce about the past during their 10th birthday celebrations.
Aptly themed Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, management of Guvon Hotels, the hotel group to which Kloofzicht belongs, decided to take participants at their celebrations back to the year 2004 by comparing food and petrol prices, discussing headlines of 2004 and looking back at how Kloofzict evolved.
Ambassadors of Guvon Hotel Group had the opportunity to immortalise their hand prints in cement during a time capsule ceremony. Kloofzicht placed valuable items as well as memorabilia into a time capsule that will be opened in 2024.
Derek Watts of Carte Blanche together with Afrikaans singer George Meiring, actress and presenter Sandy Ngema, Jacaranda FM’s Rian van Heerden and Diane Broodryk and numerous Guvon executives left their hand prints before enjoying the rest of the festivities.
But that was not all, management also decided to donate R10 000 to Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels organisation.
After the proceedings were done, guests enjoyed delicious eats while enjoying the view of the tranquil setting in which Kloofzicht is situated.
