Residents urged to live healthy

A World Aids Day event was held in Muldersdrift.

The Muldersdrift Police Station in conjunction with other stakeholders hosted a World Aids Day event at the Muldersdrift Clinic on 1 December.

Krugersdorp Cluster Commander Major General Mateisi addressed the about 600 attendants where she motivated the community to accept people who live with the disease and not discriminate against them.

She mentioned that HIV is not a death sentence and said people should take precautionary measures to prevent it from spreading.

Another key point was that people should know their HIV status by making use of the free testing facilities available at several clinics and they need to live a healthy lifestyle.

Muldersdrift’s Station Commander David Seabi expressed his appreciation towards the attendees for taking the time to attend this event.
