A woman has tragically lost her life during an accident in the early morning hours of New Year’s Eve31 December.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the accident scene at the intersection of Paardekraal and Market Street in Krugersdorp CBD after 3.20am.
Upon their arrival they found that the crumpled remains of a Corsa light delivery vehicle that had crashed against a robot resulting in the driver tragically losing her life.
The woman, believed to be in her twenties, sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing that paramedics could do for her.
The female passenger miraculously escaped with only minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
