Car thief apprehended

Police are requesting the help of the community to track down two suspects.

The Krugersdorp police are at full force and arrested a suspect on 14 January for car theft.

It is alleged that while patrolling the Luipaardsvlei area, officers noticed a vehicle with three suspicious occupants.

As the officers approached the suspicious vehicle, the suspects immediately fled the area by foot.

Two suspects managed to escape and the third was caught by officers.

After requesting an inquiry about the involved vehicle, police quickly learned that it was indeed stolen property.

It is believed that the vehicle was stolen in the Krugersdorp area earlier this month.

The suspect was arrested and detained at the Krugersdorp police station and is due to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court next week.

“We are appealing to the community to help us with information that can lead to the arrest of the two suspects who ran away, by calling the sector numbers or 10111,” pleads Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale form the Krugersdorp SAPS.
