More muti found by CPF and police

Only muti and bones were found at an alleged drug house in Mindalore.

In yet another attempt to clean up the neighbourhood of Mindalore, members of Sector 9 Community Policing Forum are taking to the streets at night to raid local crime hot spots.

The members along with Captain Derek van Staden from the Krugersdorp Police recently paid a visit to an alleged drug house in Stumke Street in Mindalore.

Members carefully inspected the house and yard in search of any illegal substances, but were sadly disappointed.

The man who is believed to be the drug dealer was not home at the time and may have taken the substances with him.

While searching the yard, they noticed that an illegal building had been erected.

The house, however, was a different matter.

A CPF member stumbled upon plastic bags containing old bones believed to be used for muti.

A bag full of small empty plastic containers also was found in the dark living room.

A tablet was found hidden in ashes in the fireplace.

As the heavens opened with rain, patrollers had to stop the operation as the wet conditions made it hard to hunt for criminals.

The Sector is becoming increasingly visible in the area and has contributed meaningfully in reducing crime in the neighbourhood.
