Residents from Krugersdorp had a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy an exclusive talk by world-renowned Egyptologist Dr Zahi Hawass.
Zahi’s visit follows the exciting exhibition of Tutankhamun – His Tomb and His Treasures at Silverstar.
This was the first time the exhibition of Tutankhamun was held in Africa and drew thousands of explorers and history fanatics to Silverstar to get a glimpse of royal Egyptian history.
After visiting the Tutankhamun exhibition in The Globe, guests went to the showroom where they waited anxiously for the legend to take the stage.
Zahi had the guests hanging on his lips as he discussed subjects from pyramids to the discovery of mummies and the mystery around Cleopatra’s tomb.
After taking the guests on an adventure through all his discoveries with photo projections and fascinating tales about the royalties of the Egyptian times, guests could purchase his book as a souvenir.
Zahi gave the guests the opportunity to ask some questions.
