Ahmed Timol Secondary’s Yusuf Docrat retires

Yusuf served the Department of Education for 40 years.

Yusuf Docrat, deputy principal of Ahmed Timol Secondary has taken early retirement.

The school governing body (SGB) and staff organised a special farewell for him last year where he was honoured and thanked for his services to the Azaadville community.

Yusuf served the Department of Education for 40 years. 22 of those years formed his last segment at Ahmed Timol Secondary where he first headed the Natural Sciences Department and later was appointed as deputy principal. He travelled daily from Lenz to Azaadville.

During his 40 years he has served various communities, including those of Standerton, Lenasia and Azaadville. He taught Physical Science up to matric level in these different communities.

The SGB, staff and pupils of Ahmed Timol Secondary wish Yusuf all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
