VIDEO: Bands rock at comedy club
Talent has hit the town as artists from all over perform at the new Parkers Comedy Club.
There’s a new hot spot in Krugersdorp as talent from all over Johannesburg rush to play at the new venue.
The first gig, of many to come, was hosted at the Parkers Comedy Club situated at Silverstar op 5 February.
Young and old came to enjoy local talent and good music while grabbing a bite to eat.
Justin Serrao kicked off the show with a solo acoustic set, wowing the audience with his voice and guitar skills.
Next up was the guys from the band The Carolina Bridal Party with their feel good bass and whimsical style of rock and roll and Blues.
The show was attended by non other than the founder of Parkers Comedy Club, Joe Parker who met up with the bands to welcome them and mingle with the audience.
The Carolina Bridal Party also premiered their music video for their track, Carry On.
“YYY SHOWS will be hosting rock and roll events on Thursday nights. In the near future we are looking forward to host Kahn the lead singer from The Parlotones, Francious van Coke from Fokofpolisiecar, myself and many more,” says Justin.
Finally the guys from the Black Cat Bones took to the stage with their straight fused elements of blues, rock, folk and country-inspired sound.
The band has been around for some time and it was not hard to see why they have grown to be one of South Africa’s most loved band.
The night proved to be a success as fans traveled from all over Johannesburg to Krugersdorp in the name of rock.
