A splashing gala at St Ursula’s

St Ursula’s School had a lot of fun at their recent annual interhouse swimming gala.

Bev Stewart, spokesperson for the school said not only did the primary school pupils excel at the gala, they showed determination just like the pre-schoolers.

“Even the children who cannot swim yet took a turn to paddle across the pool with the help of the school’s swimming coaches.”

She said the high school pupils showed great spirit, both in and out of the water while cheerleaders from the three houses Brescia, Laurus and Merci, in their colours red, yellow and blue respectively, shouted words of encouragement.

Laurus won the gala with Merci taking the title as the house with the most spirit.
