Panga and pot found on suspect

Community Policing Forum (CPF) members of Sector 9 got more than they bargained for when they recently cleared up a bushy area in Mindalore.

Following the disappearance of five suspects into this particular area at the corner of Exchange Avenue and Ruben Street, the CPF decided to clean it up to help prevent crime.

As the members were hard at work cutting down the trees and bushes they stumbled upon a suspect hiding in the bush.

The suspect attempted to attack one of the members with a panga he had in his possession.

The members acted swiftly and managed to arresting him.

After searching the suspect, the CPF members found a ‘bankie’ of dagga and a pipe in his possession.

The members alerted the police who took the suspect into custody.
