Teenager arrested for allegedly killing another

It is alleged that they had an argument which led to the suspect drawing a knife.

A 17-year old boy is currently at the Bosasa Youth Rehabilitation Centre in Krugersdorp for the alleged murder of another teenager.

Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson said the boy was arrested in Kagiso on Wednesday 18 February.

“It is alleged that the boy and the other teenager had an argument which led to the suspect drawing a knife and stabbing the other boy.”

He said the teenager sustained a stab wound to the upper body and was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention but died on arrival due to his injuries.

The motive for the crime is still unknown and police are investigating. A case docket of murder has been opened at the Kagiso Police Station.
