After a taxi was stopped and searched by police, a woman was arrested after a bag was found containing dagga.
The arrest was made on Wednesday 18 February at about 1pm.
The 32-year-old woman claimed that she did not know what the contents of the bag was. According to Magaliesburg police spokesperson, Constable Rebecca Phiti the suspect argued that the bag was given to her by her brother to take to Rustenburg.
The woman was immediately arrested and appeared at the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court.
The street value of the dagga was estimated at R600.
Phiti assured that police will continue to do their job without any obstructions.
