When Sergeant Minnies and Constable Makhautshu approached two suspicious men in Orient Hills near Magaliesburg, one of them escaped and the other was arrested shortly thereafter.
The second suspect is still at large.
The 20-year-old male was in possession of a generator and stocked toolbox with an estimated value of R5 000. After being questioned, the suspect could not state clearly where he got the property from.
The suspect will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon on account of being in possession of stolen property.
The family of the suspect insisted they did not have a photo of the escapee, but a description was given by police spokesperson, Constable Rebecca Phiti. “It is alleged he is 21 years old, coffee coloured in complexion, about 1,6 metres tall and has short black hair.”

“I trust my colleagues, they will work very hard to apprehend him,” assured Phiti.
