The Hekpoort Police arrested a 32-year-old woman for assaulting a male pensioner on Sunday 1 March.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye, a police spokesperson said the man arrived home from Magaliesburg to find the woman at his house.
“He alleges that the woman did not say why she was at his home, but instead started throwing stones at him.”
The man apparently tried to ward off the stones, but some of the stones managed to hit him in the lower body.
He reported the matter to the police and she was arrested and detained at the Krugersdorp police’s holding cells.
Maswanganye said the suspect was expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court but the case was postponed for further police investigation.
