[VIDEOS]: More live TV muggings

This is not something that is unique to South Africa only. See more videos of other live on-air crime happenings.

During an incident in which the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s (SABC) contributing editor Vuyo Mvoko was mugged moments before he was to do a live news bulletin, one wonders whether criminals still fear the sight of cameras?

In the video clip released by the SABC on YouTube two men are seen approaching Mvoko.

But this is not something that is unique to South Africa only, about eight months ago a television journalist of KTVU News in the United States of America was reporting on crime in the Oakland area when she became part of the story when she was robbed while doing a live on-air crossing.

In April last year a Brazilian woman was almost robbed of her jewelery on a news bulletin while she was talking about crime in the area

The video clip shows the reporter conducting the live interview and asks the woman, who is not named, if she is scared of all the crime in the center of Rio. She starts to answer when suddenly a young man sneaks up from behind and rips the gold necklace from her neck.

The following video is dubbed the robbery of the century on YouTube after six men stole almost 1 000 000 Euro from a live television Poker Show.
