The community of Krugersdorp is warned to be wary when on the streets at night as the CPF is still on the lookout for an armed and believed to be dangerous suspect.
Community Policing Forum members of Sector 3 gave chase after a woman almost was robbed by a armed man at the corner of Sixth and Gerrie Visser Street in Krugersdorp North on Sunday night.
It is believed the suspect approached the woman and attempted to rob her; however she cried for help and managed to run away.
Curious residents of the complex at the corner came out to see what the commotion was about when they saw the suspect with a 9mm firearm.They alerted the CPF.
Patrollers gave chase and followed the suspect around town, but he disappeared into the night almost two hours later. The suspect is still at large.
Residents are warned to be cautious at night as suspects use the dark to their advantage.
