Tea with a difference

Tea with the girls has never been this empowering.

Cake, tea and mad hatters all went down the rabbit hole to find out more about breast health.

A stylish morning tea was presented by The Breast Health Foundation with partners such as Pam Golding and Hush Puppies.

The purpose for the morning was to increase the awareness of breast health, promote education and treatment and to provide support in respect of breast health.

The Breast Health Foundation is a non profit organisation which was established in April 2002 in conjunction with several companies and organisations to take hands to increase awareness and empower women.

The money raised at the event, will be used to teach women who have had breast cancer to spread the word of the importance of self-examination and medical examination.

“The aim is to put to rest myths surrounding breast cancer and to have an open forum where women feel they can come forward with their problems,” explains Celia Mostert from the foundation.

According to the foundation, one in eight women worldwide will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime. Furthermore it is reported that one in 10 globally will die of breast cancer.

Beautifully dressed women enjoyed the morning of treats, tea and empowerment.
