Three charity musketeers ready to save the vulnerable

The new charity kids on the block are here to change the community, one case at a time.

The new charity kids on the block, Association Working Out of Love (Awol) is set to launch their organisation with a family fun day while they present their big plans for the future.

Tanya de Klerk, Bron-hilda Maree and Belinda Müller opened the doors of their non profit organisation on 5 January.

Currently working on a handful of cases, the ‘charity musketeers’ as they call themselves, plan to save the vulnerable one case at a time.

Awol is set to officially launch on 11 April at the Tarlton International Raceway.

The community can look forward to entertainment by artists like Sally Vaungh, Barbara Ray, Lance James, Clive Bruce and Buddy Vaughn.

The sport-hungry and thirsty men need not worry as a beer tent with a big screen TV will be available throughout the course of the day. Children can enjoy an inflatable fun and games arena, face painting and much more.

The attraction of the day will be the Mr and Miss Awol pageant, to help raise funds for the organisation.

The pageant will consist of four categories: babies to 18-year-old participants can join in on glitz and glamour.

“As it is hosted at the race track, we did not forget about the petrol heads who can look forward to some racing also taking place,” comments Tanya, co-founder of Awol.

Cases the three brave musketeers have taken on since opening their doors is assisting a four-month-old baby who is addicted to heroin due to the baby’s mother’s bad habits and a 15-year old girl who was taken away from her mother who allowed the step-father to sexually abuse her.

“With the help of the wonderful Krugersdorp community, Awol will be able to help and enrich many more vulnerable and needy peoples lives,” comments Tanya.
