Dozens of eggs retrieved
A security officer and his colleague were arrested after stealing 270 trays of eggs.
The Hekpoort police have successfully arrested two males for housebreaking and theft at the Nulaid Farm.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye, a police spokesperson said four trolleys of eggs were stolen.
“The Hekpoort investigation officers received information from the security company stating that the tracker on the bakkie indicated that the bakkie had travelled to the Nulaid Farm, but that the driver of the bakkie was off that night.”
She said the police then went to the suspect’s house where they found 270 trays of eggs, that is 8 100 eggs valued at R9 380.
Maswanganye said the security officer and a colleague were arrested for housebreaking and theft.
They are expected to make a brief appearance at the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court.
