A man made a brief appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court for pointing of a firearm this past Saturday 11 April.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye, a police spokesperson said the incident happened at Masakhane in Hekpoort.
“The victim alleges that he was sitting around the fire with his friend when another friend came to them bleeding. He told the complainant that he was assaulted by another resident from the area.”
Maswanganye said the victim went to the suspect’s house and asked him why he assaulted his friend.
“This is when the suspect pointed a firearm in his direction telling him that neither he nor his friend will be able to do anything to him.”
After this incident the victim reported the matter to the police who arrested him and confiscated his firearm.
The suspect’s case was postponed for further investigation.
