The Hekpoort police arrested a 39-year-old female for assaulting another female on Sunday 12 April at Patadraai in Hekpoort.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye, a police spokesperson said it is alleged that the victim was sitting with her boyfriend when the suspect started fighting with her boyfriend.
“Thereafter the suspect came to her and started dragging and assaulting her using her hands and with the bicycle that was parked inside the yard,” Maswanganye said.
“The victim sustained injuries in her eyes and hands.”
Police arrested the suspect and charged her with assault with the intention to inflict grievous bodily harm.
She made a brief appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court the following day.
