March against Xenophobia

A peaceful march against the spate of xenophobia attacks will take place this Sunday in Kagiso.

The community of Kagiso and leaders from various churches will peacefully march against anti-xenophobic.

The march will start at Mosupatsela Senior Secondary School in Zebenzisa Drive on Sunday 26 April from noon where after the march is likely to proceed down Kagiso Avenue before returning to Zebenzisa Drive where speeches will be made to show disapproval of the Xenophobic attacks which have divided South Africans and foreign nationals.

“The purpose of this march is to raise awareness on this burning issue, the intention in not to cause an uprising but to address the issue,” said Reverend Paul Modise of the Reformed Church in Kagiso.

Koketso Calvin Seerane, Mayor of Mogale City is expected to also give his input in the form of a speech.
