Woman severely injured following accident
Paramedics arrived on the scene where they found the woman lying in the road.
Traffic was severely affected yesterday, 4 May, afternoon following an accident whereby a motorcycle and a vehicle collided on the R28 in Chancliff.
Santi Steinman, a spokesperson for Netcare 911 said paramedics arrived on the scene where they found a 40-year-old woman lying on the road and that she had sustained critical injuries during the accident.
“She was treated at the scene, placed on a trauma board and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that she required,” Steinmann said.
The occupants of the vehicle were not injured during the accident.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
