A case of murder will be investigated by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) after a police officer shot and killed a man on Saturday night (16 May), Enca reported.
Police said they were informed of a domestic violence case when a man became violent and confrontational.
This incident has led to outrage among community members who protested outside the Krugersdorp Police Station.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela told the news channel that a case of murder has been opened and Ipid will investigate.
