A 27-year-old man is expected to make a brief appearance in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping his own sister.
Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya, a police spokesperson said his 29-year-old sister arrived home in the early hours of the morning but his other sister refused to let her in the room to sleep.
The brother, who was in a nearby room overheard the argument and offered his sister the use of his bed as he was sleeping on the couch.
“He then went to his bed a few minutes later and started undressing his sister. When she questioned his actions, the suspect allegedly covered her face with a pillow and raped her,” Sibiya said.
“She then reported the matter to the police where after he was searched and arrested.”
A case docket of rape has been opened at the Kagiso Police Station where he is detained until his court appearance.
