Detectives at Muldersdrift Police are praised for catching four criminal gangs.
Lieutenant Colonel KD Seabi, Muldersdrift Police Station commander, applauded the detectives for their dedication and hard work that led to the arrests and successful convictions.
Since November last year crime in Muldersdrift has declined tremendously owing to the team of detectives that has managed to identify a group of 12 criminals, three in four groups.
Charges the suspects have been sentenced for vary from house robbery and robbery to murder.
Some of them already have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, amounting to 148 years in total.
“Community members now can sleep peacefully at night since to these arrests,” said Hitler Ngwenya, Muldersdrift Police spokesperson.
