Hekpoort Police were busy with their routine patrols when they received a call about an alleged motorist driving under the influence.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye, a police spokesperson said they swiftly went to the scene on Hartebeesfontein Road where they spotted the car and ordered the driver to stop.
“The police were able to tell that the driver could be under the influence of alcohol when they asked him to climb out of his vehicle.”
Maswanganye said the man was arrested and taken to hospital where they drew blood samples.
The suspect made a brief appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court but the case was postponed for further investigation.
