The Krugersdorp Cluster Police made several successful arrests last week.
Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya, a police spokesperson said a total of 106 suspects were arrested for a variety of crimes.
These crimes range from serious offences such as house breaking, house robbery, rape, murder and theft to less serious offences such as dealing in liquor without a valid liquor license and other liquor related offences.
Ngwenya said all suspects arrested during the week have already made a brief appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court. Those who were arrested during the course of the weekend were also charged and will be making a brief appearance in Court today 29 June.
Major General Anna Mateisi, the Krugersdorp Cluster Commander said the successes are due to the perseverance and dedication of the members of the police and the public.
She also expressed her satisfaction with the positive action against the crime in Krugersdorp.
