The West Rand Democratic Alliance councillors held their second Mock Parliamentary Debate on 23 June at Toadbury Hall in the Muldersdrift area. Jacques Julius, DA member of the National Council of Provinces, presided as Speaker over a robust debate.
Two motions about identified issues saw lively interaction between the two teams of councillors.
Ward councillors Hetta Kruger, Girly Khubaiy, Matthys van Tonder, Jakkie Naudé, Christo Peyper, Annette Fourie, Richard Lees, Jacques Hoön and Lawrence Shabalala had a photo opportunity with the DA Leader Mmusi Maimane.
