Brad battles back to 8th at British MotoGP
Brad Binder fought his way from 18th on the grid to eighth at the British MotoGP, climbing 10 places to secure a top-10 finish.
Krugersdorp’s MotoGP racer Brad Binder took part in the British Grand Prix over the weekend, securing a top-10 finish at the Silverstone Circuit.
The race took place from August 7 to 9.
According to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, one of the highlights of the weekend was Brad’s eighth-place finish after starting 18th on the grid.
Brad said his weekend improved from Saturday afternoon.

“I felt better in the Sprint with used tires and in the race I knew I had to be clever and was kind to the tire…maybe a bit too much because I still felt grip at the end! In general, I’m a bit happier than normal because I could push the bike more. It’s working the way I prefer,” he added.
Binder concluded that his last two Grands Prix have shown improvement. Although he is not yet where he wants to be, he said he is making progress and will keep pushing.
Binder is currently 13th in the championship standings. He will race again at the Grand Prix of Aragon from August 28 to 30.
