The Krugersdorp SAPS Cluster is proud after its officers arrested a total of 150 suspects for a variety of crimes in a matter of six days.
The arrests for the crimes committed during 6 to 12 July ranged from serious offences such as vehicle hijacking, attempted murder, rape, house robbery, armed robbery, fraud, attempted rape, possession of hijacked motor vehicle and business robbery.
A total of 34 suspects have been arrested for less serious offences that include illegal immigration, possession of drugs or dagga, dealing in liquor without a license and other liquor related offences.
“The Krugersdorp Cluster Commander Major General Mateisi indicates that the successes are due to the perseverance and dedication of members in the cluster. They were a number of operations held during the week and that helped to increase the visibility of police officers in the sectors. She has expressed her satisfaction with the positive actions against crimes in the cluster,” Krugerdorp’s police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale, said.
