“The next moment a Nigerian national was sitting next to me in the passenger seat while the other one got into the back of the vehicle with the girl following him,” the young man said.
He described the alleged prostitute as about 19 years of age with dark hair.
They then forced the young man to drive along the back of Coronation Dam, past a tyre dealership and finally to a house in Sivewright Street.
They took him into a room where they robbed him of his money, cellphones and laptop.
The young man recalled getting into an argument with the alleged Nigerians who wanted to take his wedding ring, but he refused.
“One of us is going to die tonight, but you will not take my wedding ring,” the young man told his attackers.
Allegedly the young man remembers the alleged Nigerians threatening to kill him several times.
After one of the attackers had received a phone call, the young man was pushed out of the house and had his vehicle keys thrown at him.
The alleged Nigerians told him that he could have his belongings back if he brought them R2 000 cash and meet them at the stop street down the road.
When the young man rushed to the Krugersdorp Police Station he was pulled over by a Mogale City Traffic officer who allegedly didn’t believe him when he told him about his ordeal and instead searched him.
“There is nothing we can do for you,” one of the officers allegedly said to the young man.
Eventually he reached the police station where the officer asked him to take him to the house in Sivewright Street where he had been robbed.
There he was told to return to the police station.
Within two hours, at approximately 9.30pm, the young man received a call from the police officer informing him that he could come and pick up his belongings.
The officer returned all his belongings, expect for the money, which the young man believes the alleged prostitute had used to buy drugs.
