Local lodge robbers caught

Quick response by police leads to successful arrests.

Two suspects were arrested for an armed robbery at a local lodge.

Sergeant Mabila Redebe acted swiftly after receiving a complaint about an armed robbery that took place at a lodge at plot 89 Nooitgedacht.

A 34-year-old victim was assaulted, stabbed and robbed of R12 000 in the armed robbery incident.

On further investigation, Redebe managed to arrest two male suspects who were charged and is due to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.

The Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel KD Seabi, along with the Muldersdrift police station spokesperson Hitler Ngwenya, met up with Nigel Pearl on 22 July to thank the lodge for going the extra mile in assisting the police with the investigation therefore reducing business robberies in the area.

Police also thanked Glenburn Lodge for being in a partnership with them and the support given to local schools in the area.

“The station commander applauded the quick response taken by the member of the police that led to the arrest of the perpetrators,” Hitler Ngwenya said.
