Dog poisoning alert in Silverfields
Two Step poison was found in two separate incidences in one street.
Residents are warned to be alert as two dog poisoning incidences were reported in one street last night, 27 July.
Members of the Sector 8 Community Policing Forum (CPF), were called out to Gladwyn Street in Silverfields after numerous houses were targeted.
The poison was confirmed to be Two Step (or Aldicarb) and was found in a polony and bread snack.
The dogs were immediately rushed to the nearest veterinarian for medical treatment.
Residents of the area and surrounding areas are warned to be vigilant when at home and to take note of unknown food in their yards possibly placed there to poison their pets.
Residents should also handle any food found with caution; Two Step is highly poisonous.
Dog poisoning is a method used by criminals to eliminate the watchdogs, hence making it easier for them to gain access to the properties.
