Two foreign nationals were arrested after they assaulted and stabbed another foreign national who was delivering goods to a Spaza shop.
“They allegedly demanded goods from the 35-year-old victim and an altercation ensued. He was assaulted and ultimately stabbed with a sharp instrument. The suspects robbed the victim of a substantial amount of cash and fled the scene,” Captain Appel Ernst, police spokesperson said.
On Wednesday 22 July, Sergeants Mabila and Radebe from Muldersdrift police arrested the suspects. They were able to arrest the two suspects within a matter of minutes after the incident was reported and the victim received medical treatment.
The 26 and 28-year-old suspects will be charged for robbery and they will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
