Taught the importance of recycling

While learning about the environment, pupils of Maragon also had a little fun.

Maragon Avianto teachers took a different approach to teaching their pupils about recycling by using glitter and some fun.

The pupils are currently learning about the four elements; wind, water, fire and air and teachers explained how pollution and recycling affects these elements.

“As part of this theme we are explaining the dangers of pollution and how recycling can help. We discussed the different materials that can be recycled: glass, paper, tin and plastic,” Belinda Espag, Marketing Manager for Maragon, said.

The pupils and children then filled up plastic bottles with coloured water, glitter and other recyclable materials and hung them up in the trees around the playground. The children learnt that they can use every day materials to decorate their surroundings and by doing so were doing their part to help recycle and save the Earth.
