Boy critical in rollover accident
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the injured boy to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
A boy is in a critical condition following an accident on Voortrekker Road in Silverfields, late last night, 23 August.
Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for assistance at 11.45pm and upon their arrival at the scene found that a motor vehicle had left the roadway, overturned several times and crashed through a palisade fence.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that the man and woman travelling in the front vehicle were not injured during the rollover accident. A nine-year-old boy was found to have sustained critical injuries during the accident.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rollover accident and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
