Two vehicles collide in the dark
Accident at a busy intersection in Krugersdorp as a black out hits the town.
Two vehicles collided at the Paardekraal Drive and Coronation Street intersection after a black out struck Krugersdorp last night, 24 August.
The accident occurred around the corner of the fire station and Mogale City’s Emergency Management Service (EMS) was the first to respond to the accident.
Members of the Sector 4 Community Policing Forum followed shorty after and assisted in controlling the scene and redirecting the traffic which proved to be difficult as most parts of Krugersdorp was without power due to the outage.
This busy intersection is infamous known for it’s traffic lights which switches over to red in a matter of seconds when traveling along Coronation Road.
The cause of the accident is still unknown but the black out is believed to have play a big role.
