Business owners are warned to be vigilant as armed and common robberies on Voortrekker Road are on the rise.
A week after Aroeke staff and clients were robbed, criminals struck again and robbed Bothma Books further down the road on 21 August.
This marks the third incident this month on the busy business street.
In a previous incident, CCTV footage from Aroeka shows how one of their gym’s instructors and two clients were tied up and robbed at gunpoint.
A week prior, only metres from the gym, Europcars also was targeted in an armed robbery.
The three incidents happened a week apart and business owners have reason to believe it may be the same group targeting businesses on this road.
Earlier this year CCTV footage surfaced that showed how Martins Funerals also on Voortrekker Road was robbed of around R20 000.

The Sector 4 Community Policing Forum warns that robberies on Voortrekker Road are on the rise and urges business owners to ensure their property security is up to standard. Business owners also are advised to join their local CPFs to help combat the crime in the community.
