Man beaten to death at nightclub
A man was beaten to death by a bouncer after an alleged bar fight broke out at a popular nightclub in Krugersdorp West.
A man was beaten to death by the bouncer of a nightclub on Saturday night, 29 August after a fight allegedly broke out.
It is believed the deceased’s behaviour was getting out of hand inside of the club when the bouncer allegedly hit the deceased before taking him outside.
Emergency services, police and local Community Policing Forum (CPF) members rushed to LimeLite nightclub where the young man was beaten to death by the bouncer.
Once outside the bouncer continued to beat up the man who was later declared dead on the scene. Rumours suggest the man carried on causing trouble after the bouncer had hit him the first time, therefore the fight continued outside.
Members of the Sector 3, 4 and 5 CPF were deployed to the scene around midnight to assist with controlling the chaos.
Other rumours surfaced suggesting that when medical personnel attempted to resuscitate the man, his chest had collapsed due to the injuries he sustained during the beating.
The bouncer was taken into police custody and arrested at the Krugersdorp police station for charges of murder and assault.
The News visited LimeLite on Sunday morning to speak to the owner, however a meeting was set up for later today whereby the CCTV footage will be viewed and the owner will discuss the tragic incident.
