Hijacked truck recovered: Is it yours?
A truck, recently reported stolen, has been recovered by police.
A Scania R500 truck with registration number XGN 929 GP was recovered in Magaliesburg on 10 September.
“The truck was allegedly hijacked in Rustenburg on 9 September at about 10pm,” police spokesperson, Constable Rebecca Phithi said.
“The truck was transporting fuel when it was hijacked.”
The vehicle was recovered when the tracker company received a signal that it is in the Magaliesburg area. When police investigated the alert, the vehicle was found abandoned in the Magaliesburg CBD.
Only the horse of the vehicle was recovered, the trailers and the cargo are still missing.
Police are still investigating a case of hijacking and theft, but no arrests have been made yet.
