Pensioner arrested for dealing in drugs
A crime prevention operation in Tarlton led to two arrests.
A 62-year-old man in the Smokedown Informal Settlement in Tarlton was arrested for allegedly dealing in dagga.
On 10 Septemeber at around midnight, the suspect was apprehended and found with several packets of drugs, suspected to be marijuana.
“This happened after the police conducted a crime prevention operation in and around the Tarlton area,” police spokesperson, Constable Lucky Matome, told the News.
During the very same operation a 40-year-old woman was also arrested for dealing in liquor without a licence.
Both suspects are expected to appear before the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
The Station Commander of Tarlton police Lieutenant Colonel Molefi applauded the arresting officers for their good work.
